- Engel Austria and KARL MAYER new shareholders in the ADAMOS GmbH joint venture
- Strategic IIoT alliance enhances strong position in machinery and plant engineering
Ralf W. Dieter, CEO of Dürr AG: “With the accession of these two new mechanical engineering companies, we are making further progress in our efforts to establish ADAMOS as an industry standard. Together, we have an installed base of several hundreds of thousands of machines and systems. In this way, we are advancing with our customers in the digital world with great momentum.”
With sales revenues of EUR 1.36 billion, Engel Austria is one of the leading plastics processing machine manufacturers and the global market leader in injection-mold equipment. KARL MAYER is an innovative market leader in textile machine building and offers solutions for warp knitting and warp preparation for weaving as well as for technical textiles.
All seven companies are contributing extensive industry knowledge and innovative IT expertise to ADAMOS. The IIoT platform is comparable to the operating system of a computer and collects large volumes of production data. Digital marketplaces providing the interface with the machinery operators are developed using ADAMOS as a basis.
The Dürr Group offers two digital marketplaces LOXEO (for Dürr and Schenk customers) and tapio (for HOMAG customers). Using LOXEO and tapio, plant operators can evaluate data, map their production activities digitally and purchase digital services and apps, e.g. for predictive maintenance, adaptive production planning or the management of operating materials. This helps to optimize production and maintenance.
