Dry separation – a sustainability comparison
Mar 1, 2023
Working with integrated dry separation systems makes paint booths particularly energy-efficient.
With its family of dry separation systems, Dürr therefore offers filter systems for different customer needs and budgets, including the fully automatic EcoDryScrubber and the EcoDry X. The EcoDryScrubber uses natural limestone powder to separate the paint overspray occurring in the paint booth. Reuse of the saturated limestone in the cement industry closes the loop to ensure a particularly sustainable, waste-free cycle.
The EcoDry X, on the other hand, uses replaceable and disposable cardboard filters that can even be changed while production is running, if necessary. The disposable cardboard filter system thus opts for a low investment and can still benefits from the energy-saving potential of a dry separation system, achieved for the first time in the EcoDryScrubber.
The following video compares wet and dry separation, including EcoDryScrubber and EcoDry X, with regard to aspects of sustainability.
