EcoDry X – Economical Dry Separation
EcoDry X is a multi-stage dry paint overspray separation system based on disposable cardboard filters. It can be used for new plants and when modifying existing plants. This cost-effective and robust semiautomatic system requires neither water nor chemicals. Unlike with wet scrubbing, there is no need to dispose of paint sludge. With lower CO2 emissions and minimized energy consumption, the EcoDry X represents the ultimate in sustainable systems.
The EcoDry X process embodies the entirety of Dürr’s experience as a pioneer in dry separation. Dürr’s disposable cardboard filter system is an efficient, environmentally friendly alternative to wet scrubbing. The semiautomatic process is also the right choice for customers preferring a technologically simpler, more cost-effective alternative to the fully automatic EcoDryScrubber system.
Paint overspray separation with disposable cardboard filters
This system is based on easily replaceable and disposable cardboard filters that enable fast filter changes, even during production if necessary. Signal lamps on the plant and on the monitoring screen indicate when the filters are saturated. The operating personnel manually undocks the filter trolley with saturated filter boxes and replaces it with a prepared trolley carrying new filter boxes. Replacement is simple and takes less than a minute. The design allows replacement during production as well, enabling simple, reliable plant maintenance.
Sustainable system
EcoDry X requires low investment costs while still offering the beneficial savings potential of dry separation. It consumes far less electricity and heat than traditional wet scrubbing. The EcoDry X dispenses entirely with chemicals; water is needed only for humidifying the process air.
Filter boxes to meet the most stringent requirements
Dürr’s X500PV filter generation delivers impressive versatility and great efficiency combined with a high absorption capacity for all commonly used automotive paints, which protects downstream filter stages and lowers costs. The standardized filter trolleys can be loaded with third-party filter boxes as well. Car makers remain free to purchase the cardboard filters of their choice and keep costs fully under control.
EcoDry X is a robust, semiautomatic alternative to EcoDryScrubber technology, completing Dürr’s range of dry paint overspray separation systems.
