Your Tasks
- Utilize a computer aided design (CAD) system to create drawings (2D and 3D)
- Interpret schematics to develop complete system designs
- Apply SMACNA general air handling system calculations to determine proper duct and component sizes and configurations
- Travel to local customer sites and participate in field measurements
- Maintain project schedules
- Effectively communicate and interact with engineering and estimating departments, contractors, suppliers and customers
- Control and document the distribution and archiving of drawings and documents
- Understand, diagnose, and solve real or potential design problems
- Attend and contribute to design review meetings
- Interpret mechanical drawings
- Travel less than 10%
Your Skills
- Associate Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Design, or related field preferred
- 5 or more years of experience
- Experience with mechanical layout, detail drawings, and basic piping
- Experience with sheet metal and structural steel design and welding codes
- Experience with combustion systems

- Ability to perform basic engineering calculations
- Strong skills in math and geometry
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD (2D and 3D)
