Dynamic driving test for commercial vehicles
Dynamic driving test for commercial vehicles on the roll/brake/ABS test stand x-road truck.
Driving dynamics of commercial vehicle testing – Perfectly tested
The roll/brake/ABS test stand x-road truck has been designed for the testing of heavy commercial vehicles (ten tonnes maximum axle load) with up to four driven axles under road-simulating conditions. These tests comprise simply roll testing, odometer check, output measurement and combined roll/brake/ABS testing and much more. Using x-road truck, these measurements can be completed in short cycle times and meet the highest demands on quality.
Drive system x-road truck
In the roll/brake/ABS test stand x-road truck each tire of the vehicle is held by a roller set, which is driven by a separate AC motor. This motor includes the measurement technique for the detection of the applied torque and the engine speed. As each motor is controlled by one individual frequency converter the non-driven axles of the commercial vehicle can be identically adapted to the vehicle driven axle.
For powered axles, the motor can be used to apply an individual resistance against the vehicle drive.
In this case, the motor ensures a particular energy efficiency as it is operated in generator mode and, there, generates electric energy that can be fed back into the plant supply.
Brake test stand x-brake truck
The 1 axle or 2 axle brake test stand x-brake truck measures the brake force of heavy commercial vehicles (maximum axle load 13t) and executes control unit function testing at low speeds.
The control unit communication at the roll/brake/ABS test stand x-road truck and the brake test stand x-brake truck can take place via x-tronic carlink.
