Benchmark in efficiency and resource utilization

For all applications in interior and exterior painting with direct or external charging, we have the suitable atomizer in our portfolio. The EcoBell4 Pro versions were developed for special requirements. With the 4 main needle technology, the universal bell disk / shaping air ring system and the depositable external charging, further features were integrated.

With these innovations, we are setting the benchmark in terms of efficiency and resource consumption – especially in combination with the new EcoProBooth spray booth. 

In this process, the interior and exterior painting can be carried out in a booth. This is where the EcoBell4 Pro Ux comes into its own. With one and the same bell disk / shaping air ring system, the universal atomizer applies narrow spray jets for interior painting, wide spray jets for the outer skin and metallic paint applications.

Highlights

With a high transfer efficiency when applying the paint, CO2 emissions can be significantly reduced. Production becomes more sustainable because less overspray is produced and, as a result, overall paint consumption is lower.

The EcoBell4 HTE solution achieves an efficiency of up to 98%. With an optimized bell disk / shaping air ring system, the shaping air quantities required are already 30% lower. By adapting the painting parameters, such as a lower speed, a smaller painting distance and the reduction of the high voltage, the application efficiency could be significantly increased once again.

The EcoBell4 also allows for very flexible control of the spray jet width, with a wide range of paint quantities. This has a particularly positive effect on small surfaces such as the A-pillar or edge areas.

All in all, the EcoBell4 HTE technology provides for a more compact and more cost-efficient painting booth. We reduce both the paint consumption and the energy costs and minimize the maintenance work.

When using mixed paint systems with two components (2K), a lot of VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) enters the painting booth during rinsing and colour changes. With the 4 main needle technology of the EcoBell4, mixed 2K paint systems can be fed back directly in the atomizer for the first time, as is usual in classic 1K processes.

The clear coat booths, for example, benefit from this, where hardeners and base coats are applied in mixed form. The recirculation of mixed 2K materials is not only environmentally friendly, but also saves time. While the bell disk and the surface of the atomizer are being cleaned in the EcoBell Cleaner D2, the atomizer can be rinsed and pressed in parallel. These steps take place in parallel within a maximum of 15 seconds. Even tinted clearcoats can now be applied without any loss of cycle time.

The rotary atomizer EcoBell4 is available in the variants 2x2K and 1x2K in the recirculation. The EcoBell3 can be retrofitted with 1x2K.

The EcoBell4 Pro versions were developed for special requirements. With the 4-main needle technology, the universal bell disk / shaping air ring system and the removable external charge system, the atomizers set the benchmark in terms of efficiency and resource consumption.

With the 4 main needles, the atomizer achieves the shortest color change times, the lowest paint and rinsing agent losses, and the highest flexibility for all processes.

Color changes become possible within only 4 seconds. This means less rinsing medium is used - it reduces costs and protects the environment due to the lower VOC input into the booth.

The 4 main needle technology can be used in the primer as well as in the basecoat and clearcoat. This makes all conceivable combinations possible. From the 4-color solution in the basecoat to 3x2K solutions in the clearcoat.

All EcoBell4 atomizers can be cleaned with the EcoBell Cleaner D2 cleaning device. The electrodes of the EcoBell4 Pro are now also designed to be cleaned automatically. The new EcoBell Cleaner E2 is available for this purpose. It cleans the electrode fingers in just 8 seconds. Cleaning stops by hand are significantly reduced.

Another innovation with great savings potential are the patented removable external charges, which can be individually combined within the Pro series. This feature for fast electrode changes makes it possible to reduce the number of painting robots in our box concept. This is because dirty electrode rings are simply deposited and exchanged for a clean one - without the system having to stop for the cleaning process. All in all, this increases capacity, as 50 to 100 more car bodies can be produced every day than before.
